The modern BlueMotion engine technology in the Transporter 6.1 is characterised by performance, pulling power and economy. In addition, the optional all-wheel drive 4MOTION and the mechanical differential lock for the rear axle ensure that you can do almost any job with the dual-clutch gearbox DSG even without interruption of traction.

Make the most of the Discover Media's large touchscreen and connectivity to stay informed on the road. The 2D/2.5D navigation comes with European maps displaying a range of useful information such as points of interest and speed limits. To help you avoid congestion, this system even offers you three routes – fast, short and eco-friendly – using live traffic updates.

Launching as part of the T6.1 range, We Connect offers drivers a huge range of new features thanks to the increased connectivity of the T6.1. These features include:

• Emergency call system (eCall)
• Breakdown call
• Vehicle health report
• Driving data
• Parking position
• Speed alerts

The load compartment is available with extra fastening aids that make sure your cargo is protected and securely held in place.

• Half height hardboard side panels in the load compartment as standard
• Depending on wheelbase, the load compartment is fitted with six or eight adjustable lashing eyes as standard
• Optional metal rails on the side panels provide additional lashing points for tensioning straps

The Transporter 6.1 panel van has the perfect rear door solution, no matter what the job is. Every van is available with a choice of either a large tailgate or versatile rear wing doors. Both are available glazed or in solid metal for added security.

LED lighting throughout the interior including cargo area comes as standard.

The T6.1 range features several storage options to create an organised and uncluttered cab:

• upper glovebox
• folding ruler tray
• lockable lower glovebox (cooled by Climatronic controls)
• two cup holders

Available on Transporter 6.1 vans with a bulkhead, the new split locking functions keep you and your load secure.

Postman mode is perfect for keeping your load secure if you get in and out of the cab often. The load doors are locked once the ignition is switched on, and can then only be unlocked and opened from in the van. A light in the key shows when the load space is locked.

Workshop mode lets you safely lock personal kit and paperwork in the cab but keep the load area open. It’s ideal if you need to load or unload cargo on site or away from a secure base.
